Mendeley is an open source free manager of bibliographic references. It widely used among researchers due to its robustness and versatility. In particular it can import/export bibliographic references from/to any kind of desired formats (e.g. it can import/export references in bibtex format).
Here we proposed its use because Medeley has a plugin for Ms Word (format imposed by the Ministry), which insert directly your references in the text (e.g. in the form of [number] or Author et al., etc.)
Tip | The Mendely Word plugin is installed from the desktop application |
It can also insert the list of references for instance at the end of the document (or wherever you need it). A usage guide can be found here.
Tip | For an optimum use of the Word plugin, it is recommended to group your PLATO2.0 references in a folder (inside the desktop app). This way you will select your references only from your specific set of references for PLATO2.0 |
Another interesting feature is the web importer with which you can easily import a reference to Mendeley just by one click, for instance once selected a reference in ADS.
